Dear members of the global ICOMOS family, for the 18th time in our 49-year history the ICOMOS family will come together in Florence for our General Assembly and International Symposium to deepen our understanding of its theme: Heritage and Landscape as Human Values. This is the second General Assembly that has been graciously hosted and ably organized by our National Committee in Italy, where in 1981 we met in Rome under the theme of "No Future without a Past." read more
The organisation of the ICOMOS General Assembly and Scientific Symposium is an opportunity to make contact with ministries, institutions, businesses, and local authorities interested in heritage matters, both in Italy and abroad. Following the great success of the third edition in 2013, we are pleased to announce that the fourth Florence Art and Restoration Fair will take place from 13 to 15 November 2014 at the Fortezza da Basso. This year the international vocation of the biennial Fair is growing and, once again, the event promises to maintain an extremely high cultural and scientific level which reflects current research and trends in the world of cultural heritage.
